Born to Entertain - Alpha Bourne

Alpha Bourne was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she grew up singing, dancing and acting as a child. Alpha attended Wayne State University and studied Theater and Dance.

Alpha’s first stage performance was in TJ

Hemphill's Perilous Times as a dancer in 2000 then again in 2023 when she played the role of Martha bringing passion and emotion to the character.


In April 2024, Alpha played the understudy role to Amber Tai Hemphill’s character, Michelle, in the stage play Love Won’t Let Me Wait by TJ Hemphill. Bourne was also credited as a prop designer for the show.


She has also hosted her own television show in the early 2000’s called Real Entertainment. Recently, in 2023, she co-hosted a podcast with Detroit Host, Sued Covington, on the Sued Covington Show recorded at WJZZ Jazz Station in Detroit. Alpha is actively pursuing her acting career by doing films, theater and commercials.


Audiences will be entertained by Alpha as she plays one of the most known women in the Bible who doesn't really have a first name. She's known as the Woman at the Well who had five husbands. The director believes audiences will delight in Bourne bringing this role to stage in 4 Daughters Minus One, 2000 A.D. Tickets are available for the August 24, 2024 performance on Eventbrite.
