The story of Bathsheba in the Bible begins with a verse from 2 Samuel, chapter 11, verse 2: "One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful." Dot Persica, hailing from Naples, Italy, takes on the role of Bathsheba, the mother of King Solomon, celebrated as the wisest king in Biblical history, with King David as his father. The affair between David and Bathsheba resulted in the death of her first husband, Uriah, who was killed in battle under King David's orders.
